The age old rule of thumb will be the larger the wheel the a lot easier it really is to push. Castors on roll cages tend to be, on typical, housing 100mm diameter wheels. The Health and Security Executive advocate installing castors with 125mm diameter wheels, generating the cages a lot easier to move and less sensitive to rough floor circumstances.
